Plantation visit to "Haçienda Las Cañas"
The Global Banana Congress is pleased to announced that delegates to the event will be able to visit “Hacienda Las Cañas”, one of Ecuador’s most technologically advanced banana plantations.
The visit will be conducted in English by specialised guides within the industry who will explain the workings of the plantation through a guided visit of the growing area of 90 hectares of banana, ripening chambers and packhouses.
Delegates will also enjoy a typical Criollo lunch in the Hacienda before returning to Guayaquil. This is also a great opportunity to have a close look at the natural scenery of the tropical lowlands of Ecuador.
The tour is scheduled for 24 April, departing from the Hilton Colón Guayaquil at 08:00 and returning at 17:00. “Hacienda Las Cañas" is situated one hour away from Guayaquil.
There is a nominal cost of US$50 to participate in the tour.
